Day 01: Kathmandu
Arrival at Kathmandu and
transfer to the hotel In the evening

Day 02: Hiking in the Kathmandu
Valley
Travel by vehicle to Basbari (1480m),
where we start ascending for the summit
of Champadevi (2278m). Descend to
Macchenaryan (1400m) and visit Kirtipur.
Return to hotel

Descend: 1050m Time : approx. 6 hrs
Day 03: Biking (Kakani -
Nagarkot)
Travel to Kakani, in the northwest
corner of the Valley where we ride
off-road on the Himalayan Mountain
Bike Championship racecourse climbing
and descend (640m) to the valley floor.
Reaching Budhanilkantha we will visit
the (5m) stone image of "Reclining
Vishnu" a testament to the skill
of the 13th century artisans. Heading
east we snake off-road through rice
paddies towards Gomcha, home of the
revered Vajrakali temple sitting over
the Dhobi Khola river. We contour
more ridges with moderate elevation
gain before descending into the maize
of rice paddies and more off road
single track to the medieval town
of Bhaktapur. After a short tour of
this ancient town we gently climb
to Nagarkot (2174m) for more spectacular
Himalayan views. Overnight at camp.
Day 04: Biking (Nagarkot
- Dhulikhel)
After Himalayan sunrise, breakfast
at our lodge and ample time to take
photos we ride off-road down 803m
through villages that display colorful
ethnic diversity that makes up the
Kathmandu valley. Each group farms
and dresses differently and speaks
different languages, all within 20
km of each other. We pedal through
Sankhu on our way to the biggest Stupa
in the valley, Boudhnath and what
is commonly called "Little Tibet".
We take lunch at the Stupa View Restaurant
and visit the many shops and monasteries
around potters village of Timi then
climb out of the valley to Dhulikhel
(1500m). Overnight at Dhulikhel Lodge
Resort
Day 05: Transfer & Trek
(Dhulikhel - Pokhara - Seti Doban)
Drive down to Kathmandu and catch
the flight to Pokhara. Lunch at Pokhara's
Lakeside restaurant. After lunch we
drive for about 90 minutes to take
us to Nagdanda. From here we commence
our walk to Seti Doban. We follow
the trail along the Andhi Khola to
arrive at Seti Doban at a leisurely
pace. Overnight at camp
Day 06: Trekking (Seti Doban
- Karki Neta)
We continue walking along the Andhi
River stopping for lunch at Chilaune
Bhatti hill. Post lunch walk sees
us on an ascent of Karki Neta Danda
via farmlands for about 3 hours. Karki
Neta is set at an altitude of 1425m
offering the view of the Dhaulagiri
range. Overnight at camp
.Day 07: Trekking (Karki
Neta - Panchasi Danda)
Walking along the northeastern ridge
of the Karki Neta Danda, we pass through
some interesting villages and hamlets.
In time we will gradually ascend to
reach Sanyasi Gaon, where we will
stop for lunch. Post lunch walk sees
us climbing for two hours thereafter
the trail gradually levels off to
a gentle roll for one hour passing
through thick forest to reach Panchasi
Danda for night camp (2500m). Overnight
at camp
.Day 08: Trekking (Panchasi
Danda - Phedi)
We descend all day passing through
villages. We will stop outside a typical
village for lunch. After lunch walk
sees us descending fast to reach Phedi,
where we will stop for the night.
Walking hours will be about five
Day 09: Trekking & Transfer
(Phedi - Pokhara - Charaudi)
After breakfast we will be
walking along Phewa Tal. Lunch will
be served at Khopangdi. A further
walk of about two and half-hours will
see us reach Pokhara. Drive down to
Charaudi, our riverside camp, before
the start of the rafting program
Day 10: Rafting (Charaudi
- Kurin Ghat)
After the raft is properly rigged
the trip leader (river-guide) will
explain the safety procedure and hand
out life vests. Several rapids will
be encountered during the day, the
main ones staring from the "Up
set" rapid which is before Majimtar.
Lunch stop will be on a well-extended
beach just before "Up set".
Shortly after lunch "Surprise"
proves its name with the increase
in current acceleration, size and
frequency. Once these rapids are crossed,
calm water section allows relaxation.
Finally, the last rapid is before
the Jholunge Pul (suspension bridge)
at Kurin ghat, which will also be
our night camp
Day 11: Rafting & Jungle
(Kurin Ghat - Mugling - Chitwan)
Wake-up call with bed tea at 0630
hours followed by breakfast sees the
rafters continue down the Trisuli
at a leisurely pace. The day will
be filled with several rapids and
stretches of tranquil aqua. Post lunch
rafting starts from the confluence
of the Marsyangdi (flowing out from
Manang valley) and the Trisuli river
(from the Langtang catchment area),
which is at Mugling. Immediately,
rapid "Mugling" will be
encountered, where the term "Hang-On"
takes on a literal and wet meaning!
Pick up from Mugling and drive down
to Chitwan and onto Safari Narayani
Lodge. Daylight permitting, you may
make a quick trip to the elephant
stable to get acquainted with these
lovely animals. Dinner will be served
at the restaurant. You are advised
to retire to your room early as the
next day's program starts before sunrise
Day 12: Jungle (Chitwan)
Morning: Wake up call at dawn, timing
will vary depending on the season.
Elephant ride in the Lamital area.
Breakfast will be served on your return
from the elephant safari. After breakfast
you will take a ride on a traditional
dugout canoe from the Lodge to Kasara,
the park headquarters. At the end
of the ride, a visit will be made
to the Gharial project and possibly
to Kasara palace. From the Gharial
project you will begin your jungle
walk. You will be back at the Lodge
in time for lunch and a short rest.
Afternoon: Elephant bathing demonstration
will be held in the Rapti river. Later
in the afternoon a visit to a village
of ethnic Tharus will be made. Overnight
at the Safari Narayani Lodge
.Day 13: Chitwan - Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu. Check in
and overnight at hotel
Afternoon - free for personal activities
.Day 14: Kathmandu
Free day
Overnight at hotel
Day 15: Departure
