Introducing Nepal for the first
timers, we cover three area of Nepal
to reflect the different topographic,
cultural and climatic variation that
the country has to offer. Kathmandu
with its age old culture, Pokhara
to give a fascinating view of the
Himalayan range and Chitwan for its
teeming tropical jungles and wildlife.
The entire program is squeezed into
one week, so that those wanting to
stay longer can then make arrangements
for the next two or three weeks, depending
upon remaining vacation days
Day 01: KATHMANDU
Arrival. Check-in at hotel.
Day 02: KATHMANDU - POKHARA
Depart for Pokhara by private vehicle.
The total distance is about 200 km.
Upon arrival at Pokhara, check-in
at hotel. You will have lunch packet
on the way and dinner at the hotel
Day 03: POKHARA
Free day in Pokhara. Suggest that
you take a walk along the lake side
and a boat ride at the Phewa Tal.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the
hotel
Day 04: POKHARA - CHITWAN
Pick up from Pokhara after breakfast
and drive to Chitwan. Proceed to Safari
Narayani Lodge, where lunch will be
served upon arrival.
In the late afternoon visit the elephant
stables to get aquainted to the animals
followed by a visit to an ethnic village
of the indegenous Tharu people. Dinner
and overnight at Safari Narayani Lodge.
.Day 05 : CHITWAN
Morning : Wake up call at dawn, timing
will vary depending on the season.
Elephant ride in the Lamital area
for about 2 hours.
After breakfast a ride on a traditional
dugout canoe from the Lodge to the
Gharial project.
From the Gharial project walk through
the jungle back to the lodge. You
will be accompanied by a trained naturalist
and a tracer. The latter will walk
some distance ahead of you to check
on animal movement on the trail ahead.
You are advised to closely follow
the instructions of the naturalist
at all times
Afternoon : Elephant bathing demonstration
followed by a visit to a village of
ethnic Tharus After the day's program,
you will return to Safari Narayani
Hotel by jeep for dinner and overnight
stay
Day 06: CHITWAN - KATHMANDU
After breakfast leave for Kathmandu.
Total distance is about 150 km and
the time taken will be about 5 hours.
Check-in at Hotel. Lunch and dinner
at the hotel.
Day 07: KATHMANDU
Morning sightseeing of Pashupatinath,
Bodhnath and Bhaktapur. Afternoon
sightseeing of Patan and Swyambhunath
DAY 08 : Departure
transfer to the airport.
