Overview
The Annapurna Base Camp, or ABC, is the second classical trek after Everest. It covers the central Himalayan range of Annapurna. Picturesque Pokhara, 900m, is the gateway of this trekking region ensures acclimatization is gradual as one walks up the mountains. The trail traverses terraced rice fields, rhododendron forests and high altitude landscapes. Few treks combine such natural beauties with diverse cultural experience as this trek. Annapurna Base Camp at 4130m offers a spectacular panorama of Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Machapuchhre (6993m) and Hiunchuli (6441m).
